Word of God Speak

It just amazes me continually how God knows the word His people needs to hear and that our pastor is sensitive enough to the Spirit to hear it.I know that my best works are but filthy rags except for the grace shown to us through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.I struggle, I fall, but I get back up again.I ask the Lord to help me to die to myself daily so that He might live in me even more.To whomever reads this I want you to know I love you and will do anything I can to help you carry your burden.I need your help too.Thank you for being my family.

A Sign of The Times

The not so perfect me

Guess what?I'm not perfect.I know real big suprise huh!I get stressed like others do.Get frustrated like others do.Say and do and think things I shouldnt sometimes.Its really hard on me sometimes because I so want to be perfect for Him.Whats even more difficult is when others think they know what I struggle with but couldnt be further off base.My prayer for you is that God gives you peace in your struggle and strength to be the best you that you can be for Him.

A Shining Example

This is my friend Copeland.He is a shining example of why I feel there is hope for the youth of today.He came over to talk to me while I was taking pictures for Trunk or Treat at our church Wednesday night.I cant begin to tell you how kind,respectful,and well spoken he was.I believe it is because it comes from a home and a family where he sees that on a daily basis.Oh I'm sure he has moment just like all kids do but it just amazed me how mature Copeland is.In fact Ive yet to meet one of the youth in our church who has not been respectful to me or others.We are truly blessed.Next time you hear about a kid getting in trouble on the news remember my friend Copeland.Good kids do still exist!

You Cant Steal My Joy

It seems from the moment I got up today you know who was trying to steal my joy.First of all my little one just would not get out of the bed so I could get to work on time.Im sure no one could sympathize with me on that one.Yeah right.Secondly when I got to work I was about to tell a co-worker about the exciting news about the Cinema's when I got called into a meeting with a few other co-workers to tell us we arent making enough sales.Im by nature a serious person so its easy for me to get down if I get stressed or if I feel Ive fallen short of what God wants me to be.Im trying to put into operation what Pastor David spoke about yesterday.The world is looking to see if I crumble or if I trust in God.I choose to trust in God.So Satan you can't steal my joy!

Giving Thanks

I just got up this morning and something just told me to start giving thanks so here goes.I thank God for my wife and little girl.I thank God for all my friends.I thank God for our families.I thank God for my health and the health of those I love.I thank God for my finances.I thank God for my Pastor;Pastor David Boggs; who has a powerful anointing and a sincere heart for those who are lost.I thank God for my music pastors; Pastors Curtis and Charmaine Bridgeman;who desire only to take us through true praise and worship into a place where God can enter in and where His people can know that they are in His presence.I thank God for our Pastoral Care team who are constantly willing to serve.I thank God for our youth department and those who lead it.I thank God for all those who work behind the scenes but never get mentioned.I thank God for our new building that He had for us even before we even knew it and for all those who will come because of what He has entrusted us with.But most of all I thank God for His son;Jesus Christ;who came to save me,to love me,to forgive me,to heal me,to make me one with Him again.

I Will Praise You In The Storm

My wife took this picture when our church went to Lexington in August.It almost looked like to us that lightning had struck the cross and lit it up.Made me realize that no matter what storm I'm in in life that God has the power to take me through the storm.Here comes the healing rain........Thank you Jesus for loving me that much

It Only Takes a Spark To Get A Fire Growing

I had stated in my previous post about Campmeeting that I prayed we would keep the the passion for for the lost,keep the passion for giving God our highest praise.After this Sunday I think it's safe to say that prayer has been answered.All praise be to God!!!
